Your Dating Decisions and The Bible
There are many things that we can read in
the Bible to guide us through life. Perhaps the most important
parts of the Bible are the parts that tell us how to live and
how to relate to others in a way that is suited to the Christian
morals and values. If you want to use the Bible to
guide your dating decisions, you aren’t going to find much
if you search
for the word “Date” or “dating”. The Bible isn’t going to have
a list of things you should and should not do on a date, or
a list of acceptable behaviors in someone you’d like to date.
It’s not going to have an age limit for doing certain things,
and it isn’t going to spell out for you the right decisions
to make in today’s world of technology, fast cars, and sex.
Instead, the Bible is going to guide your dating decisions
by showing you and helping you to understand two major points
of Christian beliefs that you should incorporate into your
life. These two things are, number one, how other people treat
you and number two, how you treat other people.
If you are going to use the Bible to guide you through dating,
these are the two main parts that you should find important
and that you should use to help you make decisions when it
comes to dating. You should be dating good people who are going
to treat you well, and not just in the way that means they
are going to buy you things or take you to expensive places.
You should be dating people who are going to treat you as you
deserve to be treated. Treating people in a good, Christian
manner involves treating both of their insides and outsides
with respect. You should be using the Bible to help to guide
you to people who are going to treat your body with respect,
as well as your mind, your soul, and your life. You should
be finding people to date who are going to listen to you when
you talk and who are going to respect you, inside and out.
You should also be letting the bible help you by guiding you
towards the people who are going to live their lives in the
same way that you want to live yours – with Christianity at
the focal point.
The other half of the equation is that you should use the
Bible to help you guide your dating decisions by showing you
how to treat the people that you are dating. This is something
that is sometimes overlooked by people who are dating, because
they are only concerned with how they are being treated, and
fail to see that the other important part of dating, as the
Bible teaches us, is to find someone to date who you respect
and who you are going to treat with those same basic principles.
You should be following these same guidelines as you go through
the world, and as you get more and more into Christian dating.
You shouldn’t expect the Bible to have a chapter on what to
do on a date, or on how you know if a date is for you. Using
the Bible to guide your dating decisions is something that
takes a little bit of work. You have to use the Bible to help
you understand the way that you should live your life and the
way that you should treat others, and then you have to follow
through by taking these life lessons and applying them to your
Christian dating.
