On-Line Personal Ad Response

Hey Doc!

What is a good, standard email that would work for most any woman for use in online personals? I want something just to get started that doesn't sound wussy. Something that will separate my email from the other guys who send her emails and something that will get a response consistently.

Hello!

At one time, online personals used to be a great way to meet a large number of women, but I have recently changed my mind on them. This is for many reasons including:

1) Many women get 200, 300 or even 1,000 responses each! Most of these women just throw them away and say, "Forget it!"

2) A growing percentage of these personals are from "professionals", and scammer-spammers. They just want you to reply so that they can sell your email address!

3) Of the ones that are legitimate, you're never sure if THEY are being honest with YOU!

Frankly, I suggest that you save your time, money and aggravation and just avoid these personals. However, if you're hell-bent on trying them you want to do something like this:

First, create a pseudo-custom reply that uses something from her ad. If she says that she loves cats, then mention that in your response. The entire ad doesn't have to be custom, but you DO want to personalize it in order to improve the odds of it being read.

You should also keep the ad short, non-romantic, and to the point. Many guys "gush" in their responses thinking that if they act overly romantic the women will rush to contact them. In fact, this is a warning sign to most women. So, don't try to be romantic in your response.

Here's an example of a good response:

Your ad moved me.

I've never responded to an ad before, but I just had to read yours over and over again. [Yeah - bullshit!]

We are very much like-minded, and I'm amazed at the similarities we share. For example, [insert something from her ad here].

I'm sure you're getting hundreds of responses, but check out my ad. Then contact me. If I'm any judge of people, you're going to feel like we've already met!

[Your handle]

This ad is short, sweet, and has just enough "marketing" in it to be motivational without being pushy or sappy.
