Men:
Viagra and Vasectomies
Viagra: There are many products available that claim to reverse erectile
dysfunctions, including herbs.
Do your homework when considering an herbal remedy. Those
that claim to restore your virility to that of your youth
will probably
be a let down. These are often not effective. The FDA does
not monitor herbal remedies therefore; there is no real way
to determine if they work. Do not be fooled by that picture
or name of a doctor on the bottom of the package either.
Word of mouth and trial and error are really the only ways
to determine
if an herbal product really aids in the area of erectile
dysfunctions. Do not expect miracles from herbal remedies.
If it sounds too
good to be true, it most likely is.
Men across America are very happy with the little blue pill
known as Viagra. The men are quite pleased with the results.
However, their partners are not always as enthusiastic as the
men who take the pill. Many women feel that the men are more
interested in the sex act than the intimacy they once shared
together. The cost of Viagra drives the men to approach sex
with the idea that they paid for this pill and they should
get as much use out of it as possible. There are many positive
effects of Viagra, but with most things, there are negative
effects as well Men should discuss taking this type of medication
with his partner before making a decision. Viagra is not just
a choice for the man to make.
As
beneficial as Viagra can be in enhancing the sex life of
men, it can also cause some men to take their newfound sex
drive too far. Some men feel that if they cannot satisfy their
newfound sex drive, will go outside the relationship to do
so. The once monogamous relationships are then destroyed. Would
it be better if there were a little blue pill for women? Then
they both would have equally enhanced sex drives. However,
there is no such pill for women. Vasectomy
is male sterilization. This procedure is an operation
that can be performed in your doctor’s office on an outpatient
basis. The general idea is that the vas deferens is cut, tied,
or cauterized so that the tubes no longer carry sperm to the
outside. The sperm remain in the scrotum. If you are considering
this operation, you should be thinking on the terms of permanency.
The choice not to have any more children is an important one
and should carefully be discussed between you and your partner.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting a vasectomy?
- This is a minor operation and is safe
- If the choice has been made to not have anymore children this
is an excellent option
- If you are choosing between the woman getting a tubal sterilization
or you a vasectomy, the vasectomy is less expensive and has
fewer complications
- At anytime in your life you can check to see whether or not,
the operation is “working.” If the operation is successful,
then the sterilization is effective and this is a one-hundred
percent effective form of birth control
- Getting
a vasectomy allows a man to shoulder part of the responsibility
of child bearing
- A vasectomy does not affect the quality of performance
- It is a surgical procedure, albeit a minor one
As with all operations, you will experience some pain and/or
discomfort. There may also be some scrotal discoloring but
that is not permanent.
The operation is not immediately effective. Wearing a condom
for approximately twenty or so ejaculations is advisable.
If the man’s partner is under the age of twenty-five, he may
have more regret of having this surgery. It is very important
that you know you do not want any more children.
Some men try to have the surgery reversed and this is not
guaranteed to succeed and can be quite expensive.
The vasectomy is great at birth control but does absolutely
nothing to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
Men may experience a small amount of chronic pain after a
vasectomy.
Having a vasectomy accompanied with Viagra will increase your
sexual function with out the risk of having more children.
It spices up your sex life with out worrying about other forms
of birth control.
