Fun Ways to See Off a Newly Wedded Couple

The wedding ceremony has passed and the bride and groom have been pronounced as a newlywed couple. Now they walk down the isle as husband and wife. What must be going through their minds at that moment besides joy? Most feel relieved and are ready to have fun at the reception. Now is the time to relax and enjoy the reception. As a bride, you can add fun and festive touches to your wedding that will have all your guests talking.

When it is time for the bride and groom to leave the reception there are several traditions for seeing them off. The traditions over the years have varied so many times and have had so many things introduced that it is hard to keep track with what the current trend in seeing the newlywed couple off.

Confetti was once a major deal in seeing them off however, confetti was too messy and was hard to clean up off the church grounds. The idea was eventually replaced by rice, as it was figured to be biodegradable. It was soon apparent that rice was not getting wet enough when it rained, so it never really broke down. However, people quickly discovered that the birds were eating the raw rice and became sick. What was not eaten left a huge mess.

So where could they go from there? Well, the idea was brought up about birdseed. This nifty idea has seemed to work well, as it was not slippery on the steps of the church. In addition, the seed was safe for the birds to eat and obviously and was dropped into the soil when it rained. A master plan was formed and is still is being used to this day.

However, lately there have been many new trends taking place and making birdseed a thing of the past, as well. Enter the year 2006 and the wedding industry is just booming. There are so many options for marriage these days it only seem natural to follow the same path when it comes down to seeing off the newlyweds. Listed here are a few fun and entertaining ways to spruce up the seeing off of the bride and groom. It must be noted that all of the methods that are about to be mentioned must meet prior approval.

White doves

This is a wonderful and entertaining method of seeing off the bride and groom and is relatively mess free, albeit perhaps some droppings. It would be best to watch your head when releasing these birds. There are places that rent these birds out and one would assume the price would vary between vendors, so it is best to check around. One can only figure these are of the homing variety, or the vendor would surely be out of business rather quickly.

Rose petals

The rose petals seem to be an ever-growing trend, however sometimes, messy. The petals are indeed biodegradable and will disperse quickly. This is a fun and absolutely elegant way to send off the new bride and her groom. This is sure to touch the heart of any hopeless romantic and may even incite a few renewing of vows because of it.

Balloons

The releasing of balloons has taken off so to speak and is a colorful and fun way to express to the bride and groom your appreciation for the invite. Vendors now carry a large surplus of balloons because this trend has been steadily growing and does not seem to have an end in sight. However, many environmentalists will warn that balloons are not a good idea. Strings can become wrapped around poles or land in water, where marine life can become entangled.

Bubbles

This is a new trend and is becoming very popular. You can easily purchase small bottles of wedding bubbles and hand them out to guests. In addition, it is quite inexpensive and hundreds of floating bubbles will captivate children and adults alike.
